Minority wrecking it for all again. Has been illegal to drink in public in WA since god knows when. Depends on where and when you are caught. Issues at skyshow lately have ruined leniancy for all. About time people started to take responsability for their actions when drinking. What annoys me is if you are siitting down by the river drinking a nice bottle of red at a family picnic the coppers will walk straight past you because you must be a respected, responsible family person. Same scenario wih a can of Beam and the will confiscate it and or arrest you. Yet I think I fall into the first category, but would prefer 2 cans of Beam over red wine and that would be about me. Do not drink to get pi$$ed any more anyway, well not often and not driving or in public.

they have had alcohol restrictions since alcohol was first invented
they even restricted coffee houses in the 16th century for being bad places
trouble is aboriginals like most native people have an intolerance to alcohol genetically and get drunk and addicted
besides substance abuse they simply dont have anything to occupy their time productively like work becasue we subsidise them through welfare
so its a waste of time introducing alcohol restrictions unless your prepared tod eal with the root cause
once again people are being punished for the few
social do gooders should be rounded up and imprisoned they do more harm than good

I agree, If I want to have a drink, I work first, get paid and then buy some grog that doesnt come in a box with a bag inside.
Im pretty sure that if they also banned goon bags from Alice it would AT LEAST clean up the area, but the social issues are the biggy.
We were there for about 15 mins, went to coles and my wife was offered a job by the manager who was working on the checkout as he didnt have enough staff.
We then went to Kmart where the checkout girl, the managers sister asked if we were sticking around for a while as they needed staff badly.
I was offered 2 mechanics jobs while there and 1 at the rock as a camel handler (did it years ago).
There is no reason that they should be out of work in Alice springs or anywhere else for that matter as I have worked with some Abo's from northern QLD before fruit picking in Griffith, they were the Hardest workers I have ever seen.
They used to come to the pub for a meal and never once touched a drop saying Abo's cant hold their drink so they dont drink at all.
They can be the nocest people in the world but put alcohole in them and they turn into some of the worst people you could ever meet.
