Who the f*** told you too snatch off that? Mate sorry to inform you but I wouldn't classify that as a Bullbar.
I finally got my computer and phone to forget their differences for long enough to get the photos off the phone and uploaded...
Anyway, having looked again at the setup it appears I misdescribed the setup: The bar was attached to the recover point not the other way round. The two holes are on the recover point which was bolted to the chassis:
The twisting following the breaking of the bolts broke the weld and twisted the bar to buggery:
But on the plus side, while I was sat inside with the some of my fellow trainees others enjoying a cold beer in front of a roaring fire a few others took it upon themselves to perform a field repair for me:
Considering the repair was done in almost total darkness and after having had a few beers I think they did quite well!![]()

Dobbo, easy on the poor fellow. He was snatching off the recovery point - that lovely hunk of unbent iron the nudge bar is bolted onto.

Hmmm thats a bunny bar .
No wonder it yanked off
It seems you have been given the wrong advice on that one.
We all thought you were talking about a Bull bar, which that is not!
I am sorry this has happened to you, as It should not have!
They are more for carparks.
There is no way I would have hooked on to that.
I am wondering what advice you have been given and from who.
Very sad as it could have been prevented.
I know this is a learning curve for you and that the advice given was not good.
This is why You are here asking questions please keep it up so we can at least point u in the right diection..hopefully so something like this may never happen again
Take care

Okay, it's a nudgebar but still the snatch recovery wasn't done on that - the strap was attached to the recover point which the bar was attached to (as opposed to the recover point being attached to the bar).
The recover loop is hidden by the bar in the first photo and is that single piece of metal with the (now boltless) holes.

what worries me also is who was the peanut that suggested you attach a snatch rope to that in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!

another words , what you are trying to tell us is that you didnot have a recovery point , and I don't man attaching the snatch strap to the Aluminium pipes or where they bolted onto the chasis , and if the Driver Trainer went over your car which they must do i they are certified , he didnot pick up on the fact that you didnot have a proper recovery point and should not have let you continue with the driver training in the 1st place as he has jeopardised your safety and the safety of other in this exercise.
Hang on a thou..............
I think what the chap is saying is that there is a recovery point - look at the top photo the metal between the nudge bar mount and the real thin bit .
It looks like a lower cost/thinner version of
http://www.4x4intelligence.com/recovery_points.htm
Look at it closely
