Land Rover walked away from Camel when it became a canoeing/cycling/climbing sporting event instead of a driving event. The last one they ran with the freelanders was a bit of a joke compared to the earlier ones (nothing against the Freelanders - more the style of the event).

A canoeing/cycling/climbing sporting type event.

Different management. Different target audience. Looks like we're stuck with the G4 format.

I preferred the old style, but obviously the money is with the new style.
