Thumbs down No CDL from England

Last night after 4 months and 5 days we cancelled our order of the factory CDL from the UK, after we found out that the postage tracking number for it was for delivery within the UK only (THIS WAS THE 2ND ATTEMPT AT GETTING IT) and that it's sitting in the dead letter office of the Royal mail no amount of begging for it to be sent worked.

No doubt the first one is there too

So the company got a nasty phone call last night to refund our money

    Anyone got a CDL for a D2

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

I may do. I have a solenoid activated one in the D2 atm. The one RangeRov Automotive sells.

As I am looking to trade my D2 in for a D2a and hence wont need the Aftermarket CDL anymore was going to sell it (I am sure the dealer wont miss it).

If you can wait (well you have waited how long now?) will let it go your way.

Thanks Anthony, i am hoping i can find the factory D2a actuator, may be better leaving it in your D2 so the next owner doesn't go through this PITA proceedure.

Give Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide (08) 8364-6933 a ring. I was there last month and there wrecking yard has a very large number of LRs of various types. Their freight costs to Sydney are reasonable - I've bought from them in the past.

Well we found a D2a factory CDL actuator, AMV had one from a customer that had not picked it up, $350 including postage and the gear knob and sticker

It was lying around for six weeks, so when we were asking them they offered it to us.

DISCOPARTS in England put our money back into our account 2 days after the call about the actuator not coming from them, at least they got that right

So after 4 mths and 5 days of bloody frustration with DISCOPARTS, IT'S FINALLY OVER

I will never recommend or deal with Discoparts ever again, in my opinion they are the worst company we have ever dealt with, when ordering this CDL they were easy to contact, but soon as the deal was done, nothing at all, no answering the phone or returning emails, nothing and never at any stage of dealing with them and not returning calls or stuffing up the postage twice, did they appoligise for the crap we went through.

    YOU SUCK DISCOPARTS

no good saying it here barry

you need to go any say it on an english forum where people will see it.....
as far as your concerned the dont give a rats ar@e about you as you are 14000 miles away...........what you say doesn't matter

if it was me like i said before i would write this on a few english forum's and i would write a letter of complaint to a few english magazines (landrover ones obvioulsy)

now a few of you are probably thinking whats the point, but from experience if the company cares about its reputation in the uk it should take onboard what you say especially if you put it somewhere theres alot of potential customers, and usually they do..........you dont have to be nasty just tell it like it is poor comunication....bad customer service no appoligy for the way you have been treated etc etc........
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
