Graz has a new D2 one he got for his D1 but it didnt solve his vibration so he removed it,he was selling it if I remember correctly.Would be easy enough to remove yours and compare to his.

Anyone here know if a D2 front prop is the same as a Defender front prop...?

A D2 front prop will fit a 300tdi and later Defender, but you'll need a D2 flange for the front of the transfer box. An easy job to change, about 20 minutes work all up.
The D2 prop won't fit 200tdi Defenders and earlier, because it's about 50mm too short. You can make it work, but you either need to make up a spacer or cut the prop and lengthen it (guess how I know).
Even with only a 2" lift, my Defender has noticeably less vibration in the driveline after the D2 prop was fitted (and the original uni joints were in perfect condition).

this might help.......the prop shafts have a part number stamped on them......
A Disco II front propshaft has a double cardan joint at the t/case end.
These can help eliminate vibration from a suspension lift. But only if the front diff pinion is angled up toward the t/case (not rotated down to correct castor).
The stock D II double cardan u-joints are not re-greasable (they can be replaced with re-greasable units).
