Looks like someone has been busy with photoshop

Plus, its hard to fathom an eleven year old being able ( I can believe allowed - it is U.S.A. after all) to handle a 50 cal handgun. The kickback would sit him on his @rse...

Thats a lot of bacon..... maybe the kid is actually a distance back from the boar thus giving us the illusion that its huge, they said it was only half a ton.

No photoshop there i saw the weighing of it on a US news network on fox it was huge
the kid is standing a little way back from the pig,its a old trick ,my oldman a proffesional hunter[Botswana] and it is easy to make a kill a little bigger

a african buffalo average come in around 600kg and we used to hunt them with .375 rifels or .50 cal hand guns and the rebound of the hand guns not as much as off the .375 cal rifel the balancing of these hand guns are amazing ,you don't really free hold hand guns usualy you lean up against trees/rocks what ever close .
we use to get lots of yanks coming over wanting to hunt with hand guns and we always had back up of nitro rifels so if there was a f#$k up we would step in so no suffering happened

Damn right. Pigs are eating machines. I know of a farm family near Allora who had a family member eaten by pigs when he apparently slipped over in a pen whilst putting out feed. He was working alone and when he didn't come in for brekky someone went to get him and found bits and pieces of Farmer Giles in the pig pen. A nearby farmer did the same but managed to extricate himself but lost his lower leg where a hog fastened on to it and chewed s__t out of it.
