Hi Blitz, one possibility, depending on the available budget, would be a tray top Defender with a slide on camper on the back. I am looking at the Trayon style which seems well built and would be very comfortable which is important if you are going to live in it for some time.Some advantages are 1: Not much extra windage over the standard cab 2:removable ,if needed, quite readily 3: entrance from the side so you don't have to scramble over tow bars etc.There is a web site which is reasonable in its detail.
The OKA is one large lump of a vehicle and is not an easy vehicle to drive in town.Friends of mine have one and like it but hate it around town. I understand you need a better than standard licence to drive an Oka. Cheers. 130man.
