I used to have an FN Mauser chambered for 30-06 with a Sportco barrel, a Sako 222 varmint barrel, a BSA 270 Win, a Bentley 5 Shot Auto Shotgun and a BRNO 22LR, it's all too hard to go shooting legally nowadays so i gave it up, it's a pity, hope 4WDriving never gets regulated like shooting and hunting has, Regards Frank.

If your a primary producer it is relatively easy to get a roo permit, some times the rangers come out to see for them selves how many or might ask you for photo's and then give you a number that you can shoot on your property.

Im going on how it was about 3 years ago when we got our last permit but it is still valid I believe, must check one day.

It is illegal to shoot roo's on public land unless contracted by the government but shooting them on private land with permission from the owner is ok as far as I know.

    Hi Jeff
May be able to arrange some roo's or bunnies if you want to come down sometime.Havent had my guns out since moving to town got a DB 12G,SB 12G and a 22magnum.
Used to shoot cats/foxes/bunnies/parrots/crows/ducks on the farm and the odd roo for dog meat.
When Deb and I first met we did Retreiving Trials with golden retrievers. We also used to breed them.
We had a couple of bitches that were really good for the real thing but were a bit too smart for the simulated trials.Really enjoyed taking the dogs for a walk with a shotty or rifle, the dogs are gundogs and were trained to do what they were bred for, they loved it as much us us!!!!!
PS,I could NEVER trick them into retrieving a Crow, they would find it and stand over it but never pick it up!!!!Other friends found the same with thier Labradors and German Shorthaiered Pointers.
Ive got a mate who is as passionate with his shooting as we are with Landies,he recently shifted up to South Perth, can get you a contact number if you like.He has shot 1000s of foxes and roos around Williams(LEGALLY,THE FARMERS GET THE PERMITS) he has some rifles that are VERY difficult to get licences for.
