Bloody great. Teach em' Toyo boys
Hi, Just back from a club trip to Ophir near Orange with the local club and the Dubbo club. On the hill shown in my pic, above a hilux busted a front axle and he doesn't even have lockers then an 80 series cruiser broke his rear drive shaft and an old 350 powered shorty sheared a rear drive flange stud. On the next little hill climb the rest let go and his axle was spat like a dummy!! How much damage to my Landie? None. But it did have to work pretty hard pulling the now front wheel drive 80 series back to the road.
I don't know if the 80 series was worth recovering but you do these things for the less fortunate don't you !
Had a great day, Steve.

No pics unless I can get them off other blokes, The missus won't let me take the digi camera bush, she reckons I'll brake the flamin' thing. It is Japanese so she might have a point!

Good to hear, the misfortune of the Toyota set is so bitter sweet
I had to rescue a Toyota at Levuka last weekend after it got into a bit of a pickle on a track he shouldn't have attempted especially with road bias tyres and no diff locks.
Shame you couldn't get any photographic evidence

Buy a camera ? I have a Land Rover and a mortgage! where do you think my hard earned goes!
Steve.
We upgraded our old digital (only 2mp) so the old one now lives in the car... just in case!
I moved a motion at my club meeting tonight that this hill be known forever more as "Toyota Hill" as it has now claimed 5 Toyota drive trains on club trips. The motion was reluctantly carried. I'm hoping to get pics soon!
Steve.
