    60th Birthday in SE QLD

    OK guys and girls I am looking at running a convoy next April the 13th which is a sunday, from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. (The first Land Rover was released on the 14th.of April 1948)
    Most likley start around Mt Gravatt for easy access to the M1 and finish in Winders park at Currumbin with a show and shine and maybe some sponser stalls if the council will let us.
    I am looking for numbers at the moment so we can see if the park will be big enough and to arrange the necassary permits.
    Their will be an entry fee to be decided that would cover costs and probably a shirt.
    This is being organised through the Land Rover Owners Club of Brisbane.

    I would be keen, Elsa should be all shiny from Cooma. Might even convince the missus to be a tail end Charlie for me in the disco. With the amount of us up here in the Caboolture shire we might even drive down in a mini convoy. I will be at the new house first week of August so here's hoping the lightweight will fit in the garage for some much needed work.

    Where did you get this date from? The Land Rover first saw the light of day at the Amsterdam motor show on the 30th of April 1948.
