Wasn't he lucky? AND fairly stupid.
He did a near fatal gear and ratio change or two in that first link. One more and I reckon his clutch would have got water on the disc and he's stuck. You still get water into those bell housings. Lucky also the revs didnt drop off enough to smother the exhaust off too, it was a close call that I reckon he would'nt have even had a clue about. I had to laugh when he said "Oh this is bad"
