G'day willvine
The floor isn't too bad, and you can buy replacement floor (footwell) panels from Landrovers.com.au in Melbourne and they arn't that expensive, the rest of the vehicle, particulary the engine bay is very neat and original looking
cheers

G'day All, I was nearly going to email the seller and ask if he wanted to sell the manifold vacuum device for boosted brakes, but I thought I better not, my Series 3 109 diesel is a 1982 model (well was, as I wrecked the whole vehicle about 3 weeks ago), still looking for the manifold vacuum device, got a body but no butterfly spindle etc, anyway it was a good buy at that price (mine was $0.00). Is your engine a 3 or 5 main bearing, mine is a 5, you can tell the difference by looking at the block on the lhs lower if it's a plain casting it's a 3 main bearing, if it has ribs it's a 5m/bearing, anyway cheers Dennis![]()
Exactly the same with me, and I have a tow vehicle, but I would have flown up there. I share Ebay with the missus and occasionally put one -as with that LWB- under watched items. This time she arked up as to why bother looking at a Landie so far away ( at least she's mellowing, as it would normally be why look at all?) so I took it off watched items as I figured it would go for around $2500. -DOH, oh well now I'm saying its probably got this wrong and that wrong with it - as you do.
Too many hills here, too underpowered, the Couny will get jealous. I dont have a passport, etc etc
I made the right decision..., GRRR![]()
Same here!
I keep looking at them even though I sold my County which is, really, a better driving car than a Series.
I keep kicking myself for selling the County which was being set up to be my 4WDing/camping vehicle.
My wife won't let me go to see the bloke across the road (whom I've never met) and ask what he's doing with the SIII (or Stage 1) traytop in his front yard. It's been there for months and has never moved. I think it would look good in my yard. I'd like a traytop for various jobs around the place.
He must have noticed by now the number of different LRs that are in my front yard at various times (my own, those owned by fellow forumites, and ones I borrow from or store for my local specialists) and he's never asked where he might get LR spares locally.
