Saturday, begins the 3 greatest weeks of television for the whole year!

    The Tour!

    6pm SBS
The only program on TV I never miss.

I don't often ride in the big groups, normally just me or a couple of mates in a small group, never really had too much trouble from drivers. I think its much like the argument about large 4wds, if you can't see past them you're driving to close and perhaps shouldn't have a licence to drive. In most situations, if you can't safely steer your car around a cyclist, even two of them side by side, you've got problems.

    cheers Ben

To all the cyclists out there that took offence to my introduction to this thread, I would like to set the record straight by saying that I deal with cyclists a great deal through the various bicycle user groups that liase with my work in the recreation area.

The majority of these persons are great but there is still the "fringe" who believe that cyclists deserve some special attention such as having their cycle racks near the front door of Woolies on the footpath inconveniencing shoppers and mothers with prams and not placed in the rear carpark where there is ample room to accomodate them.

The game was a bit of fun and not intended to start some jihad against those who prefer pedal power.

Now I'm going home to get on the exercise bike and do a few klms around the lounge room while watching the Blues bash Qld.

    ok, I can't believe this...

And, no offence taken, Chenz, well, not much but there does seem to be plenty of material for a cycling thread to take off with!
