Good to hear that you got back in one piece and the old girl didn't miss a beat. Very nice to catch up with you.
Drove back home today - 12 hours to do just under 1000km including a stop for lunch at Armidale and a couple of other stops for a few minutes. No problems, traffic not too bad at all. Bit damp at home, been about an inch while I was away.
Many thanks for the hospitality of assorted members round Caboolture, enjoyed both the lunch and the evening with Rob.

Saw a few Defenders on the way - they all waved back. Saw one S3 parked by the road in Woodford, but they weren't looking at me, saw lots of Discos - and not one waved back!

I had the same problem when in my series III - Disco's were only a year or two old then and all I got was snooty looks. These days I bet they're just envious...as I am

Welcome back, John.
Shorty.
G'day JDNSW
Glad that you returned home without any problems, but then I didn't expect you to, it's a 110 and a 4BD1 so what would stop it , only the lack of water/oil would have slowed your progress and I bet you had both on board
cheers
