Just don't run the power steering empty or disconnected for a year. Did that with one car. Day of rego inspection I hooked it back up and filled it. Ran like a dream untill I pulled into the ACT rego inspection centre. Main seal blew and in 5 mins I had fresh oil dripping from everywhere including the bonnet.

I would clean it and try for now. Then go looking for the fix.

    I hear ya Si....

my t/case has leaked since I bought the thing with 75,000km on the clock and finally gets fixed when I changed the clutch a few weeks back, but the steering box is now leaking profusely.....
    ...from the input shaft !!!!

There's been an on again, off again leak on the output over the last couple of years, but the input one's a gusher......
Looks like a complete seal overhaul kit in the next couple of weeks...

I haven't got to the short in the LHS parking light circuit yet.

So far, the only place we have found is in the USA at something like $50 each. Hmmmmmm..........
I'd be surprised if you couldn't find someone at the local market who'd make one for you for a lot less than $50.

The didnt notice. Matt
.......or the second alternative is to move to Sunny Queensland, where if your vehicle passed inspection 10 years ago then it must still be alright so long as you jkeep paying the rego
