Did you ens up on the poweline track, that's just a warmup. This was the trip I should of lead but due to work commitments this week I just didn't have time to get the rangie ready and time was my enemy.
Outlaw, I might be going up there again soon if you're interested (won't be a club trip).

I certainly had a great day but I'm glad that Numpty and his missus didn't have to put up with the twit in the Toymotor who thought it'd be fun to heckle us on the C.B. Couldn't get rid of the little twit, oh well.
That and I'm worried that Ringin and Skidboy still haven't posted on the forum so I'm afraid they haven't got home yetI gave them some dodgy directions from Beerwah and they could easily got lost and taken a long scenic route home

What nearly turned into a none day for some due to a couple of last minute pulls outs, turned out to be one the most enjoyable days out I have had in a while. Was an absolute pleasure meeting the the Numpty's, scrambler, OLR067 and Inc. Was even more of a pleasure watching Numpty expertly pilot Leon up a cracking track full of wombat holes and rock ledges........Numpty, I'm sure I will be far down the list but can I have 67234th right of refusal if you ever consider selling leon......truely a beautiful car and a pleasure to see it in action.
This wombat hole track must have been about 2-300 metres long but it took us the best part of 2-3 hours to get all the cars up it. Again another successful on track repair by the GCLRO team and i'm still amazed that whenever we have a breakdown incident, someone has the exact part/tool needed for the job.....in this case some spring compressorsAfter securing the car to some trees, a quick high lift, popped the spring out, compressed back in and we were on our way again in no time. At the top of the hill I intended to sit us all down for morning tee but as it was nearly 1pm by the time we all crested the hill, lunch was the go.....much to Smiley's delight, even if Bolts was feeding my boy nothing but lollies and cheese and bacon balls while I wasnt looking

The second half of the day we forged on to try and find the other powerline tracks we were looking for and after we stumbled back to where we started, we discovered that the entry for part 2 was only about 1k down the gravel road, so off we went again. These tracks are a little more closed in but offer the same if not slightly more challanging terrain than the first hill. We passed the bottom of BIG RED.....where we were met with some negative radio chat by some fine upstanding youths who were keen to tell us how much better they were at driving than us (or Land Rovers) for taking a subaru liberty up BIG RED.........
Once these jolly gents were successfuly ignored, we headed off down Hoe Chi Min, and through a couple of shallow bogs and a few other interesting off camber up hill sections, all very well driven by all. This finally brought us out where we normally stop for lunch, but as it was 4.30pm - and Smiley in the back was still hungry
- I suggested we call it a day and head for home.
All in all a cracking day out and great to meet some new faces from AULRO. We will definitely look to run another trip up to Beerwah soon, so keep an eye out and get involved.
Big thanks to Bolts and the others for keeping an eye on Smiley while I assisted in recovering and guiding, thanks to the Numpty's for getting us to the area in the first place and to Hobie18 for assisting with directions and thanks to all for making my day as TL easy by driving sensibly and enjoying yourselves

Pity I wasn't there to lead the trip as planned, would have done 'big red' to give the one fingerd salute to the yobbos who though a Subaru was better than a Land Rover
