I'm looking at purchasing a vehicle in Melbourne, which is a problem as I live near Sydney and it's out of rego. What do you think is the best way to get it here? Can someone recommend a transporter that is reliable and takes care of the vehicle? I've no experience doing this.![]()
Get a 3-4 day permit is the Vics have such a thing (we have it in SA)
It will allow you to drive it home, and be a damn site cheaper!
best to be get it yourself
cheers

I believe it's quite small and light (compared to other Land Rovers) but unfortunately I don't know where it is located. The seller said they could deliver it to a car transporter depot though so I'm guessing it's not far out of Melbourne. TombRaider - I don't think it's the kind of vehicle you could drive Melb to Sydney!
No more clues on what it is ?
Here is the theory, I am in Melbourne on the 18th/19th, from there I am driving to Orange, then onto Penrith, might detour and go run about with some of the other chaps - before going to expo
There are trailer hire companies - that do one way rentals, you cover the cost of the rental - and a bit towards the additional fuel used - and bobs your uncle.
Sticking point is the limit for the rental trailers - which is only about 1 ton - I think - but could be wrong
if its close to me i could drag it closer to you Ladas
save you some trouble
