Stop picking on the Commodore.... I'm driving one until I can afford a Freelander 2 Its a lot quicker than the D3 but not so comfortable over the bumps

And I'm stuck driving one at the moment because the D3 I've been driving while its owner is overseas is stuck in with Southside while they figure out why the LR tyre has no tread on the outer edge.

    G'day Folks

Thank you all for the inquiry BUT, I am stuck in bed with the Flu and have been since Monday when I recouperate I will do the usual checks before lifting the head, at the moment my diagnoses is, the core plug at the back of the head has blown, let all the water out and cooked the head gasket, there is also a knock when revved, which could be that the rings have lost tension and I have got piston slap, in that case it is a case of Rings and Bearings but that will have to wait, as I have Rego due in 3 weeks, and as I am on a very limited budget, rego will have to come first, but I won't know how bad it is until I lift the head, it is at times like this that I'am glad that I can do most of my own mechanical work, thanks everybody for asking about me and the faithful old 2a GS "It will take more than that to kill it" (If only I could afford a 200TDI)

    cheers

    G'day Pedro

Yup! it is Bed and "Ipecac & Tolu" mixture with Strepsils for after mints seems to be working.

    G'day Numpty's Missus

Going to the dog trials at Morayfield on Sat night (was about 5 Degs) and then to Mt Mee on Sunday with those "Gentle Breezes" might have something to do with it

Never mind I will get better and then look at the Landy

P.S. Anybody want a head cold

    cheers

If you go to Land Rover Only web site (USA) you see from D3 owners that abnormal rear tyre wear is common complaint as is excessive trye wear and its due to suspension faulty alignments. Situation is so sevre that in USA they say tryes on some D3 doing only 15000kms and common law suit being organised against LR
