Oh Dear! What am I going to do?

The bloke across the road has a SII table top which has been in his drive for months. Everytime I've walked past, I've ogled it. If I've been with with my wife, I've sometimes wondered (aloud) "I wonder what he doing with it?"

She told me to "Forget it!".

Today I saw him in his yard so I strolled across and asked him.

He said if I want it I can have it. He'd only just called Land Vehicle Spares to see they wanted it but the bloke he needed to talk to wasn't there.

So, being a bit thick, I said "Really? Fantastic! I'll take it."

Now I've gotta sneak it home and hide it in the back yard (may be difficult). I'll get it home before I tell her 'cos if I tell her first, it won't be allowed home. I'll need to organise some help to get it here as it's not going at the moment.

I've gotta sneak it in whilst Elisabeth is at work - she's on arvo shift this week and I'm on day work.

I've spoken to the guys at KLR Auto and they'll drop down after work to give me hand.

It's a stray, if we don't feed it, it may go home. Of course it would be cruel to leave it out in the cold and rain.

glad to see that you have got a REAL Landrover and one with Leaf Springs

it will probably take the wife a while to cool down but providing that you don't wreck the yard too much she'll cool down

Is it a 2 or 2a, Long or Short??
