Well i'm still after my first disco, well first land rover as a matter of fact.
as i've mentioned before i work at a dealer and i am so ****ed off!!!
we had 2 come in last week, both traded a 93 with 300k v8 for 1000, and a 97 150k for 3000 grand. now the used car manager knows me and another guy are looking but he wholesaled them before we could get get a chance. we think hes getting a kickback from the wholesalers, and we are both fuming. hes ****ing off the wrong people as we hold positions in the company that can do him favors, ie service and spares. its sad because the last used car manager was a really good bloke. so I'm still looking.
Ive got a friend of the family who's going to sell so ill see what he wants. its a 96 with 170 and is a clean car, but just hope it is cheap enough cos I'm used to paying below retail.

Just a question before i go. i know the v8s are pretty bullet proof if serviced well, just wondering about your experiences with the drivelines.
Have you ever had an auto fail?
same for the diffs and transfer?
basically stuff that will require the use of a dreaded tow truck. that is how i measure the quality of a car.
Just remember I'm one of those suburban pansies , and the closest ill get to off road is riding up a gutter. so maybe those who use their cars for a lot of suburban stuff would be good to hear from.

Andrew

Sorry if anyone thinks ive called them a pansy LOL
