    Why not???

DaveS drove someone else's 3.9D county from Vancouver-panama-vancouver (round trip of 20k km or so), and then he bought not one but 2 as soon as he came back to OZ. (My wife and I joined in for the guatemala-vancouver leg, and had a ball). One day the roads were so bad we barely got out of 2nd gear, and managed about 200km for the whole day!!! Then in the US the headwinds were so bad in Wyoming (the ghey cowboy state) we could barely do 90 in 3rd!

A piddly little jaunt from Brisbane-Melbourne is nothing... nuuthinng

well no one asked what sort of car, but there are heaps of freight companies around, and don't just look at car carriers, if you paid the fuel and a bit for looking after your property, and if it isn't a sunny boy, i'd consider driving it down if you bought a cheapy air fare back to the gold coast
