Does anyone have a free DIN 1451 font?
Its the type used by road authorities in Germany, cant find a free one.
But I managed to get England's.
(Edit: It went all crappy looking)

type faces are a speciality of mine, if you give me the full details
i'll see what eventuates (got about 10,000 in store)
btw: the DIN code is irrelevant in the type face world (but may be peculiar to Deutsch)
look for the maker prior to DIN

Can you also see if you have "FE-Schrift or fälschungserschwerende Schrift (falsification-hindering script)"

Update* maker prior to DIN was Linotype.

that makes sense
its an old linotype face
and you've answered the question

if you dont have it, i'll fire up the ancient mac and pull it over (if its still about), and i think its a tt - mac here... and it will be pre OSX...
