GENERAL A/T TYRES for DISCO 3

Anyone tried the new General A/T's in 255/60R18 to fit the Disco 3's?

Wondering how they perform, particularly for noise factor (compared to the OE Goodyears), balance and general all-round grip on wet bitumen and in mud.

    Feedback appreciated.

    Regards, Dennis.

I've got Coopers on my 96 Disco TDI first time ever, I've had alot of the other brands BF's, Bridge's Yokys, the only 4x4 stuff I do is beach work, if its gets muddy its because there's been mud between me and the beach. I was up at Fraser at xmas and I was pulling up along side people up to there diffs seeing if they'd like some help and pulled away with out any problems (not even in diff lock) I could not be any happier with these tyres "in the sand" even my wife made a comment.
Once again I do very little mud work.
    Cheers

    Smile General A/Ts.

    Hi Dennis.
I've got the AT 2s on my Defender 235 x 85 x 16 and they seem to be quiet and give good grip.
If they perform as well as the TRs my Td5 had fitted as standard I'll be very happy as at 66K they were still around 75% tread.
Not quite the info. you wanted but I can't afford a D3!!

    G'day Mate,

I have recently got myself some 18inch rims ( minimum size I can go to) and put on some General Tire AT2's All Terrain Grabbers in 255/55/R18's and have found them sooooo much better than the OE Goodyears by a long shot. Great on road, and so far have made a huge difference off road, here are some pics of them on my D3 click for larger pic:

    Regards

Any thing has to be better than these bloody Goodyear POS tyres, I got bloody flat tyre from a bit of gravel penetrating through the tyre, it was inside when we fixed it. It was not a big nasty bit of gravel either
