I know were there is an X90 with a 4.6 rangie motor with a 5 speed and hilux diffs with coils running 37's should be good when its done. And I'm about to buy an LJ50. Aaaah the smell of 2 stroke in the morning

A friend of mine has a suzi ute (early sierra tray top)on his farm.
Was cheaper(secondhand)/safer/more comfortable than a 4 wheel mojobike and with its 32"tyres goes anywhere the mojo would!!! Plus they could use it for alot more farm duties than a bike,PLUS it goes many places their cruiser ute wont even dream of.
I had a play in it when I was doing some fencing for them,low first was amazing,walk up walls!!!

Now that is something I would love to see. Did he cut the body to get it around the engine? This is about as good as the guy I knew that put a 427 chevy into a mini, took to the drag strip, flipped it and never drove it again.

I do think that alot of the Suzuki's are still under rated, and have been showed up more than on one occasion out in the bush buy a suzuki driver.

I admire all custom 4wds and am probably jealous because I do not make the cash available to do such things, One does have to dream.

Yeah its nearly finished. The motor fits in but they had to modify the tunnel from memory. The custom radiator is just behind the grill. The engine bays are actually quite spacious. A rangie v8 fits straight into an X90 or a vitara.

One of the British off-road magazines rated the Sierra as the best 4wd ever made.

I competed (as Navi) in a German 4x4 comp. We were in a double-locked D90 with all the bits. There were plenty of others in double-locked Merc G-wagens, and heaps of people in near-stock (usuallyu unlocked - or just detroit rear) suzis.

The greater manouverability of the suzis meant they consistently did better on the tight courses. The top 3 were suzukis in the end.
