    Cryptic Defender news

For those who might be interested - I have the pricing and release date for the new Defender 110 - I have no info for the 90 or 130.

The 110 is priced at $48,990.00 plus on road costs - the first of these will be driving around our tracks in October. This news, you will discover, is to be released officially next month.

May I say - I recall talk of large price increases - I recall talk of 2008 delivery.

May I also say - I recall talk of veganism, talk of new outlooks on life, humour and innuendo - Hey - I discovered Oscar Wilde in my teens.

With this news I declare my retirement, good night and safe travels folks.

    Sincerely,

    Scallop

Shouldn't be either - have you noticed what the $A has been doing since then?

I presume we are talking about a wagon, rather than a more utilitarian body?

good to hear Scallops... I bet you're a happy man. was reading the may land rover monthly and it stated only a 1000 pound increase there.

also heard a rumour that there's a 07 model on display at the dealer on the coast here.

That sounds resonable given that the A$ is now stronger than it has been in past years AND I would have thought the Ford engine & gearbox change would have dropped the manufacturing costs somewhat.

So about $50K on the road, and then you have to budget for a few accessories....

Scallops - you sure that $48,990 price you posted above is for the 2007 model?

I went to the new Adelaide dealer to enquire about an '07 110, and they gave me a price list of:
    - $50,200 (110 base price)
    - $1970 Stamp Duty
    - $730 Rego for 12 months

    Drive away price= $52,900.

Your price is well over a grand cheaper! You'd think everyone would be selling at the same RRP.....
