    SOS Urgent help please

    WE have blown a top radiator hose on a TD5. Halfway between Maurlan and Sydney. Anybody in the area able to help move vehicle or repair the hose. Call George 130 on 0400 00 3025.

    Just got home.
    Thanks to all who called and the guys up at the expo.
    I'm uploading photo's of the hose and the repair job.

    We must also say a massive thanks to Disco Pom who picked us up and drove us to the Expo and then back to the car. He even followed us back to Murrumbateman before continuing on home.

    Glad you made it back safely. A blown radiator hose is something we can all live without!

    I can also tell you all that I don't like the taste of Coolant! Trying to bleed the system at one point I loosened the cap that little to much and while not looking the car spat the coolant all over me. Good news is only minor burns on my hand. Just looks like sunburn and stings a little.

    Turns out the rest of the old pipe split as we turned into Murrumbateman! So lucky we made it home.

    I couldn't drive past a Disco with the bonnet up and not help could I !!!!..glad to be of assistance Edd and Steve..most enjoyable day....must be the only disco td5 with the special expedition hose kit and a very neat job as well !!...hope to see you both around the Canberra area when your out in your trucks...good luck with the new hoses Steve..and your leg!..

    just popped the bonnet when i got home, the hose has split again this time its where it meets the top o the radiator

    That's steves Disco. The hose looks like it had been disintergrating over a while. We think the inner layer had failed and that is why the lower clamp has been weeping. We could be wrong but thats what I'm working on so far. Will have the garage look at the hose and see what they think.
