    I'm back

G-day all, I'm back on deck again. For a retired man, I seem to be damned busy.
What day is it, where am I?
Where is that nice young man in his clean white coat?
Are they coming to take me away ha ha?

News about the Landy is not good. Poor old dear really needs a full engine rebuild.
Anybody got a broken Range Rover to give away to strange home?
So, at the moment, I am demoted to a Toyota Hilux thingy.

On the fun front, I'm getting very good at getting bogged Mack road trains back on the road.

Two trips in a row now, the landlord has managed to miss the driveway. And got 70 ton bogged. The last time was a beauty. She started to slide down the hill, tied herself into a pretzel shape and sank up to the axles in mud. It took six hours, two 4WD tractors and half a carton to get him out and back on the driveway hard stand. Then we drank the other half of the carton after midnight.

Live stock is all well, my little girl is an independant young cow now, at 4 months old.
We have a new little boy, born last week. He's Murray Grey\Highlander cross. Nearly 2 weeks old now and already a real little bull to look at.

And we now have a really big shed.
At least we now have access for vehicles, since the landlord put the bucket of the frontend loader through the wall.
No worries says he, "shorty, can you make a gate?"
    "Yes mate" says I.

If you see a big green Mack Superliner, pulling 2 big black tipper trailers, pull him over, feed him beer.
    I want a rest for a day.

That one has gone, but I've found another one for sale nearby in someones front yard. Late 1970's 2 door by the looks. Give me a hoy if you want more details. There is a phone number on the window I can get for you (it is near Hahndorf).

Not me mate, I get people out of strife.

As for the RR, I want to "upstage" my S3. I need to rebuild or re-engine.
Why not find a wrecker RR, and use the "stage one' style update?
Then I can go uphill too.

And this damned Hilux I have a loan of. Nearly double the horsepower, 5 speed gearbox, and nearly as slow on the hills as the old Landy.
Still have to shift back to 3rd gear for most of the hill work.
And I keep shifting into low range every time I want to change gear. The levers almost touch each other, not at all hard to grab the wrong shift lever.
The Landlord's lady friend complains about that bit too.
Sitting on the floor with legs stretched out like some go-kart racer.
Horrid little thing. But, I at least, still have a shopping trolley.

Shorty, I've just sent you 5 or 6 photos of the RR on the side of the road.

G-day Quiggers. Good to have some time to log in.

Thank's David. I'll hunt them down. Truth is, looks don't count at all.
I only want the power plant and gearbox. But if I have to take all to get what I want cheap? You bet.

Now for more late breaking news.

There will be a new web presence, in the form of a .id.au domain, up and running soon.
Doing the legals (read:- money changes hands) now.
The machine is on its way, the server that is.

Now the hard part. Build a web site.

We now return you to your normal programming interface.

Just had a fly around on Google Earth. Look what I found.

My shed. I like my shed.

And now, to announce the first unveiling of my prototype web site. Hosted at fsphost.com

    http://one.fsphost.com/shorty943/website/index.htm

That'll get you there. There is not a lot but gallery photo's at the moment, but I will update constantly.

Be gentle, it's my first time.
