    Why does this happen?

Guys have a look at this on ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/89-Range-Rove...QQcmdZViewItem
There are other items that are being sold.
I asked the seller why he is selling the parts that appear in the picture to have no damage. The rangie is complete at this stage
The answer I got "Theres no damage to the car except a few scratches, its run out of rego, and we have another one in a cleaner condition inside and out.
its not cost effective to have 2 registered v8's these days".

Fair comment but why not sell complete and not destroy a good complete vehicle.

Anybody want a good rangie before it dies a sad death?
Does it belong to Anybody here on the forum?
I hate to see good vehicles destroyed
Ok I am over it now!

What would life be without a Rangie?

They can often get more for parts than a complete vehicle.

The door that I picked up for DiscoDave came from a perfectly good V8 Disco. It was being wrecked because it couldn't be sold for a reasonable price. The guy wrecking couldn't get $6000 for it. When I picked up the door, he had sold $4500 worth of parts and still had all the running gear to sell!
V8's just don't sell well with current fuel prices.

Don't worry, I've thought about stripping and selling the P38A for spares.

The value of the dollar speaks all languages
i found a 1988 4 dr RR at hillside wreckers here at lismore, a few weeks ago, apart from some interior tidying up, the vehicle was complete and had a good motor and gearbox tyres etc, i quizzed the head man about it, he wouldn't sell it complete, why, because he said ,'they are good wreckers!"

    that sums it up.
