    4x4 instruction dvd

Im trying to find a 4x4 dvd which covers things like how to best tackle mud, sand, rock etc, also including recovery techniques, gear, ways to approach hills, reversing on slopes etc. Basically a 4x4 guide if you like. Anyone know of any such DVD I can buy/rent?

    Cheers,

4wd Monthly. "How to 4wd" is pretty good

There is no replacement for a proper certified training course. Certainly read and watch as much as possible...but always start with good course.

A general DVD I have seen was produced by the 4wd monthly crew...it was fairly brief though.

    Cheers

Stooge, have you tried talking to the Land Rover Owners Club of Tas which are a southern based club? They might run a training course?

I plan to go on a course as soon as my Rangie is sorted. They do run one down here, in fact, a work mate just did a weekend and he said it was fantastic. But, I was just wanting to see if there is footage out there, for the cold winter nights to look at (PS I always look at footage to analyse exactly what they are doing )

Thanks guys, but I managed to get hold of a 4wd Monthly "How to 4wd" introduction DVD which covers things like tyres, recovery, water crossing, inclines etc. I will take a look tonight and let you know what I think
