Might do I was going to do the same on mine

Among my collection of junk I found a nice caravan watertank, its reasonably narrow and holds about 70 liters, about 1200 long 100 high maybe 4-500 wide, anyone reckon it will fit, its just so perfect and plenty easy to fit, have to be a hole under there for it![]()

Currently I am unhappy coz the grounds damp and I have work to do on the anti christ but cant as I will end up with some cold or something grovelling on the ground, the sun shines for a day or so and now its gonna rain again this week, o woe is me! I need a bloody big shed for my landys, the loves of my life, the wife comes a close second
I think you'll find it's too big to fit anywhere comfortably.
I tried with a similar sized (bit smaller) tank.
I ended up sitting a 25lite water cube on the outrigger forward of the rear wheel and padding it with foam and using rachet straps to fasten it to the chassis. The water fills from inside the wheel arch (holds about 20 litres due to position of lid) and the tap is at the diagonnaly opposite end, at the bottom, just behind the driver door.
It worked well for the Simpson Desert trip, with nothing coming loose or leaking. The cube was about $20 at Bunnings, the strap about $3. What can I say, I'm a cheap skate.
But I have ordered a 44 litre water tank for the Defender that fits in the rear (L) quarter panel. Opposite Lock want $460 for the tank. In South Africa it retails for $200. So $200 minus $24 VAT, plus $53 Postage, plus $3 insurance, plus $24 Bank Fees for O/S exchange. Now to await the boat. If this works out well and I don't get stitched up, I'll post the links, contacts and details on the forum for anyone else interested.
