Thread: Possible Trip To Geelong Area

G'Day All,

A mate (RA Rodeo) and I are talking about taking the clans for a weekend trip to the Geelong area.....

No idea when, but within the next couple of months. Ive just found if I dont make plans I will never take holidays and keep working myself to death.

As I have a sister & Brother in Leopold that I would like to catch up with, also Brett (mate) would like the Queenscliff Fort (we both Like museum's) and I want to go to the point Cook RAAF museum.(a way's from geelong I know but)

Can anybody let us know what else is worth looking at in the General area please?

Also I would be keen on meeting up with LR owners & AULRO members too, as there was talk of a Geelong area meet or trip a while ago, but I couldnt get there

I dont think we would have time to do a full on trip, but more than happy to meet somewhere for lunch or BBQ in a park or something so we can talk about LR's and climb over them too , how about the "All you Can Eat" out on the pier?

Not sure if this will interest you but I am just about to organise a weekend away in September staying at the Cumberland River caravan park (just past Lorne on the Great Ocean Road).

I am going to post it in the upcoming events section and hopefully I will get a few takers. Just stayed there this weekend and we had a great time.

I will post up the date and details soon. Seen as you are only coming for a weekend that may not be possible...in that case a BBQ somewhere is Geelong would be good. Not the all you can eat on the peir though

Ok sounds good, if I need to take a few weeks off I will, Ive got 5 weeks owing now and will get another 4 at the start of December

So Im happy to hear anything about a trip west of Melb
