Thread: How much does a Disco wheel weigh?

    Question How much does a Disco wheel weigh?

    Does anyone know how much a S1 Disco alloy rim with tyre might weigh?
    Just approximately, it doesn't matter which style rim just that it's between 1995-98.
    I'm trying to organise freight on some from Melbourne and they need to know weight. Having never weighed one I don't have a clue how much they are?

    Largely depends on the tyre. eg a BFG 245x75 tyre plus rim weigh about 28kg.

    You might find they charge you "by the cube" and not by weight, especially if more than one

    Thanks for that.
    I'll budget on 28Kg and give them the cubic dimensions and see what they want to use.
    Either way it'll be a expensive exercise.
