Ah yep, go through them every few months. I just replaced all four 3 weeks ago. This time around, I put in 10W instead of 5W; noticeably brighter without overloading things.

To date, I haven't found a cause as to why though. Interestingly, both stop lights blew on me on the same day, perhaps a short but again, can't find a cause as yet.

Do either of you use a trailer? Check the trailer socket isn't shorting out.

No I don't use a trailer & guess I'll have to look for a short on the right hand side as the left is working.

My 99 TD5 blew tail-light globes regularly until I stopped using Narva globes. My 03 blew Narva head-light globes, so no Narva again.

A short circuit will blow fuses, but not globes.

Doh! Correct, I think that shows how tired I was when I posted my previous response.

The same happens to my D2.

From my observations it appears to be the globe that sits directly behind the divider plate insert that always seem to blow first. To me it looks like the Narva globes actually touches the plate.

Could it be that because it is touching, it is getting too hot?

    The key word is Narva...

    Comes from a foreign language...

NarVarygoot = Meaning not very good...

Ever wondered why some oncoming cars dazzle more than others...
Usually its poor light globes rather than poorly aimed lights....

Narva are notorious for poor quality / design product...

As for blowing tail light globes in pairs or one shortly after the other...

Now thats another story for later, gotta run!

Main issue is power on one side & not the other, a dead short should kill all the lights not just one side.

all other lights are working off that plug, just no power to tail light on RHS........ seems a tad weird
