Smile Keep this in mind fuel guzzlers

Just an idea after reading of a member running dry and having to prime his fuel system, I had a 41 ford v8 ute and the fuel system was crap, if u ran out u would run the 6volt dry before u got fuel up to the pump, my solution, I fitted a repco rattler felec fuel pump, this works great as u can switch it off and the man pump will pull fuel through ok, so when u run out u merely fill her up, flick the switch run your pump for 30 seconds u will hear the difference when its primed up, u turn of the switch and hit the starter, oh happy days, am doing this to my 3 shes a pain when she isnt started and the fuel drains back into tank, takes ages to get her going.

you know theres a manual priming lever on the underside of the lift pump right and it only takes about 10 lifts of that to prime it unless its vapour locked with heat.

Or there is a blocked screen on the suction pipe in the tank or dirt under the valves.

Routine procedure though when I have had to hand start the 2a due to a sick battery (or generator before I fitted an alternator).
