80W-140 is almost overkill in a Rover diff
Spiral beval diffs don't generate the heat of a hypoid setup, eg. a Sals, although I'm using a 2l SAF-XA/balance Syntrax brew in the t/case.

Pretty much any quality 75W-90 GL5 diff oil will work. Caltex make some of the best too, particularly their borate ester based lubes.
