hate to disagree but leyland brothers were boring crap the monologue of mal this and mal that bored me to tears and then they tried spicing it up filming the wives in bikinies.

there cape york in the wet season another example of why would filming techniques showing mud on tyres

their dvd would be best left on the shelf in my opinion

I grew up with Mike and Mal, Malcolm Douglas, Harry Butler and the Bush Tucker Man. What did it do to me?

    1 series 2a

    1 series 3

    1 Defender

    1 Discovery 2

    1 custom bashed felt hat!

Maybe I could sue them all .

Well, I bought it... Its a double DVD. It looks like they also have the LROCV trip on it as the cover says "along with the recent retracing of the epic journey by Mike Leyland and his entourage"
I thought the LROC organised the trip and asked him along
Now I need to find time to collar the TV . Not enough hours in the day lately.
I will probably cringe watching it now, but hey, it was 1966 and I was 14 then. As Dinty says, anybody done anything bigger or better?
I think it hit the little screens when I was 16 or 17, but I had been driving landies a fair bit by then.

    MEEEOOW!!!!!!!!!
Was simply pointing out that EVEN though they never covered some trips COMPLETELY, it was a good thing that got him into Landies.

By the way, Major Les Hiddens ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a shame Malcolm Douglas changed to the dark side.

Major Les disappointed me a few years back when I took the time to go to one of his book signs at Carindale shopping centre. I bought his book and while he signed it I commented that I enjoyed his shows. He would not even look at me over his half rimmed glasses and did not even grunt or acknowledge my being there.

I still watch the re-runs and enjoy every one (sad I know).
