    Pimping 4wd's

I saw 2 yesterday that got my blood boiling

First a playdoh with 20" rims and low profile tyres
then 10 minutes later a black IFS 100 series with huge shiny rims and low profile tyres

What are these ****ing idiots thinking when buying an off road vehicle, why not buy a chrysler 300C and play Black Rapper

This sort of topic has been done before. Why shouldn't they do it? I think the problem in this situation is your attitude and perception, not what they have done to their vehicles.

    mmmm nice post hey...
I run low profiles and 18's on my disco Td5.
It's a tow vehichle not a off roader.
The 2006 Rangie runs 20's. oh dear, I must be a real gimp... Btw the Rangie is a TD and it's the one vehicle I have always dreamed of owning since i was a kid.. no way is that baby getting bush scrapes.
Not all of us have the same reasons as you for having a Landy.
I respect others who lock and lift etc, so why cant I have the same respect?

I saw a knob driving a lowered black ford explorer with bling 20"+ chrome rims and rubber band profile tyres a couple of weeks ago. He ended up between me and a stock TD5 at the lights. We were so much higher it wasn't funny.

It just looked crap to the max.
    What was he thinking?

I've heard a couple of times that I'm a silly bugger because I'm driving a fridge on wheels and having fun getting dirty as a pig, and... and...

    I don't care
We are all different, that is where fun begins!

    Cheers,

Calm down DirtyDawg. Each to thier own.

IMHO I shake my head at people like yourself who spend a furtune on thier rigs to go on club outings looking for mud holes to trash them in. Without a purpose I don't see the reason, but others like yourslef would disagree.

My point is that the guy with a pimp 4wd gets the same satisfaction with everyone at the traffic lights looking at him, as you do of 10 guys on a hill taking shots of your rig in a mud hole that you could have driven around

Personally I have a 4wd to get to places I need to get to on a daily basis, and for touring. But I don't begrudge the million other reasons people buy thier rig for.
