I don't know about that, I saw two girls driving up and down the hills a couple weeks ago... one of which was a 10yr old car with open diffs.

I do however completely agree with the sentiment that PC is not welcome in every facet of our lives, commonsense has to prevail.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT saying this sport is only open to blokes, I’m just saying it’s a bloke type sport and whether your male, female or otherwise, you are not only going to hear block type terms used but you will just have to handle it because that’s the nature of this sport.

    Cheers.

I think the correct term to use is BYPASS track, but then again that will probably offend those who have had open heart surgery.

The term is not offensive, its the 'delivery' thats offensive. I suppose most comments can be made offensive depending on delivery. For example, You can say to someone "nice haircut" and this could be either a compliment or an offensive slander at your hairdo...

And remember, its damn near impossible for expressions to be delivered on a writen platform, so lets not start miss-interpreting each other here

    thread

    Just to clear things up.

I put a thread on the Gold Coast Club forum asking that the term "ckicken track nöt be used in club meetings as new members may take it the wrong way. ie people who have not been 4wding before. We suggested it be replaced with bypass track or similar.

The term ckicken track is fine to use when everyone understands its not meant to be taken seriously.

The guy that started this thread has chosen to run it up his own flag pole and stir some s---t.

By the way I know plenty of women that could drive rings around you Tim, offroad.

Take his comments with a grain of salt people, thats all they are worth.

    Justin.

Unfortunately Dranged, the figures speak for themselves and my problem is not just that this term may or may not be offensive but that any decision to alter the way a club works is best put to the members for them to decide, not just commanded by a couple of individuals.

BTW I imagine there are many women that can run rings around me BUT what does this have to do with the subject being covered here?

    Cheers.

Drivesafe it only shows that you missed the point altogether ,and told the tale with your twist on it , if your going to put things up for public debate atleast give everyone the whole story truthfully and in context so they can make up there own minds with all the information and not an edited tale

P.S. the pole proves nothing unless it can be put to use.

Well Nath, you have posted that I didn’t give the whole story, which I did to my knowledge, so instead of making pointless accusations why didn’t you post the so called full context.
