    Hope no one here is getting too much grief from the flood waters...

    Yeah - Couldn't believe it. 800mm in one day? Dams all overflowing and rescues left right and centre.

    Wish we could get 80mm in a day down here.

    Actually, 8mm would be useful.

    we got about 80mm here, 50 k up the coast they are coping it heaps...

    exactly where our fine upstanding media whore, i mean premier wants to put the new dam but all the locals reckon it doesn't rain there! bugger there goes that argument :P

    We've had 150km/h winds and 400+ mm here today. Fences down and roofs off.

    I think it was this time last week we were complaining about it being so dry???
    Lots of local flooding in the usual places (particularly around Noosa and Rainbow Beach) and reports of lots of sedan type vehicles not making it through and drivers being rescued by local SES.
    Some public schools closed, but all private schools open because their mummies drive four wheel drives and can still get the sprogs to school!
    It has been raining constant since last night (24 hours) and the wind just makes it worse. Drive 40 minutes south and everything is starting to dry up - it's wierd alright!

    You can understand why that ship ran aground at DI, Rainbow had over 800mm in 24hrs
