In all seriousness I don't see the overall point in this system. If you are going to the technical degree of fault finding yourself and replacing parts etc and then resetting the system, you are more than able to pump up the system manually to limp home somewhere with jumpers.

if you could buy a cheaper unit to say read all the generic codes like an OBD reader does, as well as clear EAS faults, and also some other small things like ABS lights and read HEVAC codes, I might look at it. But if you know a good independant they should read or clear the fault for you, after you have fixed the system, for a fraction of the cost of the unit. Also, I have had my EAS die twice, a bad pump and a split airbag. My fault on the bad pump, it went into soft fault then I kept driving, should have stopped, turned off ignition and started again every 5 mins untill I got to the dealer for the new pump. Second time I had a bag split on me and was just bad luck.

The other issue I have with the device is I believe its locked to one VIN, which quite frankly limits its use exponentially. I don't feel it would impact on dealers and repair shop's trade if the unit was open to use on as many cars as you liked, The P38 is a relatively low volume car worldwide, and it would be fair to say the overwhelming majority of them are owned by people who simply take it somewhere, open wallet and up end it on the counter when a light flashes on the dash. Then there's the few nutters like us here

Its not like a nice tool say like a router I bought 3 years ago, cost me $120 all up I used it once and its still as new in its case, its going to cost $500 odd buy the time you get it here and you can't just lend it to a mate to use one weekend. It is nice to have the right tool for the job, but not always practical.

    Sorry, rant off!

Not sure if the EAS Kicker is the same as the FaultMate SV (single VIN) but I tend to agree that they are still a bit expensive.

There are plenty of other things a P38 owner can "invest" in before getting one of those.

the faultmate is a full product for I believe all systems, but the "easkicker" ONLY does the air suspension, nothing else.

A single EAS Kicker will work on any Classic and/or any P38a with EAS, just not L322.
The only requirement to operate on either vehicle is having the correct type of connection lead (P38a-OBDII, Classic-14CUX/EAS)

The Kicker is no longer made - but Hardy had the sense to buy a batch of them before they sold out.

See the adverts at the top of the page.

Actually Ron I didn't think I was being sensible at all but they seem to go alright.

What's interesting is I'm sending them back OS to places like Norway and Croatia, getting enquires from other interesting locations like Lithuania,
    Venezuela and even Perth...
