    The 'Quo!

What is it with Tribute bands and Maryborough,,,,

Went to see Statoz Quo last night,,
2 solid hours of Status Quo music,,

(I didnt know there WAS 2 hours---)

anyway, there was the 'Quo LOOK,
    jeans and white runners,

    the 'Quo STANCE,
legs spread in an inverted V, both knees bent, the bigger the guiter solo, the bigger the spread

    the 'Quo GUITAR,
planted firmly in the crotch, no mucking around here, no behind the back or mad air swings, guitar neck held at the required 60 deg

    the 'Quo GATHERING,
at all big riffs they line up (like cascaded windows)
whispering into each others ears and nodding.

not like this,, The Real Deal.

It wasnt till just now when I googled Status Quo, I realised
just how much trouble they actually went to,,
    jeans and shoes were easy,
the correct guitars, pigtails and hair colouring not so!
(though I doubt it was a REAL '57 Fender,,,)

Mind you, you couldnt hear yourself think,
the dancefloor was full(of ladies of various ages)
all men seemed to be bald or had pidtails
    one had both!

and I reckon a good time was had by all

Saw the real deal in Perth several years ago now. Great entertainers.

I didn't post this in the recent thread on the topic, but my first album purchase was "Whatever You Want" (vinyl). STill have it.

I had very little money to spend, and with the Quo I knew EXACTLY what I was going to get for it.
