Yep there was a red defender ute and a blue grey one and a Freelander. I do have some pics if anyone is interested. Dave Rolands who owns Rovacraft was driving the Freelander I think
I was there on the course helping with road closures for a few hrs while the event was on in between Mundaring and York.
We got to our designated points at about 5.am and the bikes started at 8.am and the whole event was over by 10.30am.
We camped out on friday near the start and had a big fire and lotsa Port.
After the event we drove the course Stage 1 32kms and ended up on the Brookton hwy and then had a lovely steakburger at the Rock inn.
Overall had a fantastic time with great company and cant wait to do it again.
This was organised with some of the LROCWA club members as the organisers were having difficulty getting help. We have asked if there is anything else we can help out with in the future and they were keen for us to help.
The organiser also did the telstra Rally and does about 10 events a year.

Hi Guys

We had a great time racing the safari. We placed 11th I think and won the teams division being 3 landrovers across the line. Lots of people commented that they couldnt believe how tuff defenders are. We really raced ours hard over the entire course. So many stories to tell. Its something I wont forget for a long time. Theres also a lot of photos on offroadoz.net .au as well just follow the links off the home page.
