Bloody thing
Before Xmas when I had the engine rebuilt I said,
machine the flywheel and put a new clutch init whether it needs it or not. Okay that was done and its goodo, eh.
Yesterday the clutch started to make growling noises and was a little bit dicky going into gear.
Had a look a while ago thinking That I'd bleed the clutch then run the stick stethoscope over the bell housing, gearbox and transfer case listening for lots of
cash type noises. Found the bloody slave cylinder is leaking slightly, didn't I. Peddle is a bit mushy, so its obviously not disengaging properly. Oil level looked okay but from underneath with the donk going and the
clutch pumped up and down it is dropping a bit of oil onto the exhaust pipe. Dont ya just love Landy's, what fun working on them all the time.
Anyway it's going to cost only $88 for a new slave cylinder. That means that I have only spent just under a million quid onit so far, not over it. Give it a few more weeks tho.
I wont have kits in these sort of things as I prefer new.
Thank God it hasn't got all that electric crap onit
to go wrong.
