if we could get it heritage listed before it was closed by the shire, it might be saved(have heard of another road that was listed and remains open for all)
Copied from Outerlimits forum:
As of 1pm today the Nanango Shire Council has temporarily closed old coach road to all traffic. Road closed signs have been placed at both ends of this area. The reason for this is the council is seeking legal advice in relation to there liability for the condition of the tracks in the area as they feel they are becoming serioulsy dangerous. Remember not all people that use this track are experienced or have modified cars. I have sent an email to the FWD Assoc to see if they can become involved. Ultimately the council will be guided by their legal team but perhaps we can negotiate the use of some of the area without a total closure.

This is one trip that I have never done but always wanted to so that is a shame.
More from a historical point of view than an offroad one.
