    Low Fly-by

I had a video sent to me of a low fly-by of a plane.
This got me looking for the lowest fly-by video I could find.

This is the best I've found so far:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S61zL...related&search=

I reckon it would also qualify for "the most soiled white trousers" video too!!

    Can anyone go lower??

I saw one go lower at the Maroondah airshow in about 1980.
Aerospatiale single engine was wowing the crowds with low turns, until his wingtip touched the ground.
The pilot survived, but I believe his legs were pretty mangled. Its embarrasing when they go just that bit too low.
    Not too clever.
In terms of close , the Spitfire was LOW, but the Phantom was the most impressive.
Best for me is an A10 which came from below me once in Germany when I was driving along a ridge.

This is the one that was sent to me and got me start on this search. Very impressive!

I didn't think to look for helicopters. The first one is the best IMO.
I had a student in the Cisco TAFE course I taught who spent time in NT rounding up cattle in a helicopter. I always thought that would be great fun. When I can, I compete in bitumen motorkhanas and too me, this would be like a 3-D motorkhana in the air!

The tunnel run in the last one was probably the lowest!

Yep. Ben's link to the YouTube version is much better quality.

I will have to get the footage my brother made.
It is fake but was very well done.
He filmed the freeways in Melbourne and then superimposed an fa18 flying down under the overpass before hitting the afterburners and going vertical.

    very funny to watch
