    Interesting Phoenix.
It mentions George Fowler, a nice bloke who I've met a few times and was involved in the original Perentie project under JRA. (also raced against his nephew)
George assembled a team, which was headed by a mate of mine (outside consultant) to electrically quieten the TD5/Storm engine for military use, as at that stage they were looking at re-powering the Perentie with that engine. The work resulted in a new loom and IIRC development cost around $100,000. Funny thing is Solihull wouldn't believe they did it as they'd spent something like 250,000 pounds in the UK and couldn't achieve the result
Mark had to fly to the UK with the bits to show management their it worked.

It all came to a sudden stop when Ford/PAG took over.
