It has got to the stage around here that LR drivers will even wave at me when I am riding my mountain bike. I guess that is one of the perks of working at the Dealer in a smallish town.

As well as the wave, in Perth many people come up in the street and pat the little S3 ute like a dog! Usual comment is 'I learned to drive in one of these on the farm'.
Whilst I was waiting at some lights with the roof removed for the summer, I had a Harley person with beard, tats, bandanna and vicious look say to me in a Bimingham accent; "Oi fitted the loights to your car in the seventies".
Hard to tell here in SA.
We all wave to each other any way. Grand-pappy did it, and his pappy affore him did it. So we all do it too.
Got to admit, it is tricky to get a wave out of a Disco driver.![]()
