Hey everyone, does anybody know if the new Defender will be avaliable in an Automatic ?? as my Dad will be looking at a new car probably this time next year (yes i know it along way away yet) but iam trying to convince him that the New Defender will be the 4wd for him. he has always had Land Rovers and loves them. but he needed an Automatic due to having arthritis in both wrists which made leaver shifting a real pain and arthritis in the hip which made clutching also painful.
Thanks
Regards Adrian

If he is aging (you mention arthritis) then I would also expect a Defender to be uncomfortably high to get in and out of.
suprisingly he finds my Defender easier to get in and out of than his Rodeo. because i have side steps and he can get a grip on the guttering that goes around the roof. i didnt think there was going to be an auto but thought if there was someone on here would knowso it was the best place to ask.
i thought i did hear someone tellin me of the 60th anniversary model having an auto box but i cant really remember.
Yay did a google. and am Hopeful
