email a copy over there are some that work but arent enough to do much with. Weve got engineer types near where I work and I'll spin em past it sometimes they can do with a laugh and occasionally they do the hey now that looks like fun thing..

Played around with some of these things and would like to see what you have..

I read of this many many years ago but there was never much detail.
I heard lots of stories of people over the years being bought out or otherwise hushed, but it was all your typical urban myths, no hard facts and no real people.

This is a recent (last month) turn of events I stumbled upon by accident (he has posted vids of his hydrogen cell on youtube)

I've done a fair bit of work for a large Aus multi-national. One of their plants that I worked at is the largest consumer of natural gas in Aus.

Hydrogen is a lucrative by-product. Syn gas is produced from natural gas, in a furnace. Prism separators (vessels that are tall for their diameter and packed with a tight bundle of long fibres) in series, separate hydrogen from the syn gas.

From my experience hydrogen is extremely dangerous. If it leaks into the atmosphere, it will ignite - no flame or spark required. It burns with a flame that is invisible in daylight. And the leak will quickly burn through thick chrome moly steel pipes/flanges.

In parts of the plant where hydrogen is present, you dare not get close to any flange joint. And the joints do not use simple raised face flanges and gaskets for sealing.

Equipment must be intrinsically safe - battery powered devices like mobile phones or car central locking are strictly banned.

The nearby CSIRO research facility is also working on projects producing hydrogen from syn gas. I believe they are looking at using solar energy to produce the syn gas.
