    TD5 power, whaaa hoooo

I am making a new drawer system for the Disco at the moment and as a consiquence i have the old drawers out and all the gear that is normally in the car as well

The difference it makes to the power is amazing, i wish i could put the standard wheels on to get back the standard gearing, cause i reckon it would be a bloody rocketship

Might have to invest in those 4.11s

    Baz.

I found the same! I've removed the Roofrack, ladder, steel rear bar, shelves, fridge, duel battery, cargo barrier etc and had run the fuel tanks down and the Disco went like stink!

It all came out as I needed a weigh bridge ticket for a blue slip (re engineering) and will be a shame to put it all back in.

    Oh, and fuel economy!
    Cheers

Took mine out to work on Monday while the Prado was in for a service. There's a particular hill on the way home with an overtaking lane where I'm always rounding up diesel landcruisers struggling and belching smoke when I come home in the Prado.

Was great to see that the TD5 also flew up same hill quite well and managed to make a LC100 series and a couple of 95 series utes look like smoke belching slugs.
    Cheers .........

With a chipped td5 there is a chance you could forget you have a small township hooked on the towball
